Nach einer guten Nacht ging ich um 9 Uhr nochmals den schönen Weg durch die Weinreben mit der fantastischen Sicht auf die Berge joggen und als ich zurück im Hotel war im Pool einige Runden schwimmen. Im Dorf fand ich ein nettes Café, das Espresso servierte, und kaufte das Nötigste ein. Um 11 Uhr traf ich mich mit Doris am Pool, wo wir frühstückten und uns der Sonne hingaben…
After a good night’s rest I went for a run once again along the vineyards with the fantastic view of the mountains and when I was back at the hotel I swam some rounds in the pool. In the village I found a nice café, which served espresso, and provided myself with necessaries. At 11 am I met Doris at the pool, we had breakfast and dedicated ourselves to the sun…

Es wurde aber schon bald so heiss, dass ich mich in unsere Cabaña verzog. Um 15 Uhr fuhren wir los 60 km zum Parque Nacional Talampaya, wo um 16 Uhr die letzte Tour durch die Schlucht geführt wurde. Als wir ankamen, hiess es, dass diese Tour schon ausgebucht sei, wir aber um 16:30 Uhr starten könnten… Das war gut so, denn inzwischen waren Wolken aufgezogen was bedeutete, dass es nur noch kühler werden konnte! Die 2 ½ stündige Fahrt mit einem netten Führer war sehr erholsam und gut organisiert!
Soon it became so hot that I had to edge away into our cabaña. At 3 pm we drove off 60 km to the Parque Nacional Talampaya, where the last tour through the canyon took place at 4 pm. When we arrived there they told us that this tour was already fully booked but that we would start off half an hour later… This was not bad at all as lots of clouds had approached in the meantime which meant that it would only get cooler now! The 2 ½ drive with a very nice tour guide was relaxing and very well organized!

Auf der Rückfahrt nach Villa Union kehrten wir in die Parrilla La Palmera am Ortseingang ein und bestellten – na was wohl (es hat ja nichts anderes): Ein Stück Fleisch mit Salat und Kartoffelstock, was ganz in Ordnung war. Aber das Schokoladeneis auf dem Heimweg war der absolute Hit – vielleicht sollte ich mich von Eiscreme ernähren? ; )

On the way back to Villa Union we stopped by at the Parrilla La Palmera entering the village and ordered – what do you think (easy as there is not a big choice): a piece of meat with salad and mashed potatoes, all quite all right. But the ice-cream on the way to the hotel was an absolute treat – maybe I should change my diet to ice-cream? ; )
