Heute Morgen ging ich noch vor dem Frühstück joggen, der Receptionist schickte mich Richtung Park, wo schon viele andere Jogger und Walker am Fluss entlang unterwegs waren. Auf dem Rückweg machte ich einen obligaten Espressohalt in einem Café und war rechtzeitig zum Frühstück zurück im Hotel. Während Doris anschliessend schon mal das Städtchen bei Tag erkundigte, schrieb ich meinen Post von gestern und lud ihn ins Netz.
This morning I went for a run before breakfast, the receptionist sent me direction park where already lots of other joggers and walkers were on their feet along the river. On the way back I made my obligatory espresso stop in one of the cafés and was back on time for breakfast at the hotel. While Doris went to discover the little town by day I wrote and uploaded my post of yesterday.

Es war schon sehr heiss, so beschränkte sich mein Besuch in die Stadt auf das Minimum… um 13 Uhr waren wir bereit für die Weiterreise. Wir fuhren bei fast 40 Grad Celsius 1 ½ Stunden Richtung Norden und machten in Diamante am Rio Paranà einen Fotostopp. Danach fuhren wir noch eine Stunde in die nächste Stadt Paranà und setzten uns dort in ein Restaurant und genossen einen herrlichen frisch gepressten Orangensaft. Weil dort nicht viel mehr zu tun war und mit Vitaminen vollgetankt fuhren wir noch einmal 2 Stunden nach La Paz, das wir um 21 Uhr erreichten. Wir fanden es beide ideal in der grössten Hitze des Tages im gekühlten Auto zu sitzen… am Abend sah man dann auch wieder Leute in den Orten, die tagsüber wie ausgestorben schienen!
Wir suchten das im Reiseführer angepriesene Hostería Posta Surubí (http://www.postasurubi.com.ar/) auf, das direkt am Rio Paranà liegt und mieteten eines der Zimmer der hübschen Anlage. Nun freuten wir uns auf ein endlich gutes Essen und bestellten im Restaurante Garibaldi, das gleich gegenüber liegt, einen Surubì (Delikatessenflussfisch) und konnten beide nur die Beilagen essen… er schmeckte extrem nach Fisch! Eine gute Flasche Chardonnay tröstete uns etwas darüber hinweg… : (

It was already very hot that’s why my visit to town restricted itself to a minimum of time… at 1 pm we were ready to hit the road. We drove direction north for about 1 ½ hours with temperatures of almost 40 degrees outside and stopped in Diamante on the Rio Paranà to take some pictures. Thereafter it was another hour to the next town calles Paranà where we enjoyed a wonderful fresh squeezed orange juice on a terrace of a restaurant. As there was not much more to do there and refilled with vitamins we took the road to La Paz, where we arrived 2 hours later at 9 pm. We both considered it ideal to drive during the heat of the day sitting in a cooled down car… in the evening we finally saw people in the street while during the day the town looked lifeless!
We found the Hostería Posta Surubí (http://www.postasurubi.com.ar) which was recommended in our guidebooks and which is situated directly on the Rio Paranà where we accommodated in one of the rooms of the pretty complex. Now we were looking forward to having a nice meal finally and ordered a surubì (delicacy of the river) at the Restaurante Garibaldi just around the corner but both ate just the side orders… we both didn’t like the fish at all! A nice bottle of chardonnay made the day… : (
