Heute Morgen ging ich um 9:30 Uhr den ganzen Strand von Los Vilos abjoggen, anschliessend lief ich durch das Städtchen zurück und fand so eine Cafeteria mit herrlichem starkem Espresso und eine Bäckerei, wo ich frische Brötchen einkaufte. Es gab kein Frühstück im Hotel, aber die Besitzerin liess mir eine Thermosflasche mit heissem Wasser bringen, so frühstückte ich gemütlich zwischen duschen, Post schreiben und packen.
This morning I went jogging along the whole beach of Los Vilos and walked back through the little town thereafter where I found a cafeteria with delicious strong espresso and a bakery where I bought some fresh rolls. There was no breakfast at the hotel but the owner delivered me a thermos flask with hot water so I had an unhurried breakfast while taking a shower, writing for my blog and packing my suitcases.

Als ich um 12 Uhr abfahren wollte, erwartete mich eine Überraschung: Ein platter Reifen! Ein Angestellter montierte das Reserverad, ich fuhr zur nächsten Reifenwerkstatt und es wurde im Nu repariert – kein Wunder passiert das hier so oft wenn die Reifen keine Schläuche haben! Wenn das so weiter geht, werde ich nach einem Monat alle Reifenwerkstätte in Chile kennen… ; )
When I wanted to take off at noon, there was a surprise awaiting me: another flat tyre! An employee installed the spare wheel for me, I drove to the next tyre repair shop and it was fixed in no time – no wonder that this happens a lot here if the tyres are not tubed! If it goes on like this I will know each and every tyre repair shop in Chile after a month… ; )

Nachdem ich noch den versprochenen Besuch bei Marioly abgestattet hatte, war ich um 14 Uhr bereit für die Weiterreise. Die Panamericana führte mich direkt am Meer entlang und bei La Ligua bog ich rechts nach Papudo ab um eine Landstrasse entlang der Küste zu fahren: In Zapallar war der ganze Hang mit wunderschöne Villen verbaut und um 15:30 Uhr machte ich eine Pause im Restaurante Flora in La Laguna um einen Papayasaft zu trinken und meinen neusten Post aufzuladen (das Internet funktionierte heute Morgen im Hotel nicht).
After my promised visit at Marioly’s I was ready for departure at 2 pm. The Panamericana led me directly along the ocean and in La Ligua I turned right to Papudo to drive along a country road on the coast: In Zapallar the whole hillside was covered with beautiful mansions and at 3:30 pm I had a break in the Restaurante Flora in La Laguna to have a papaya juice and to upload my latest post (the internet in the hotel didn’t work this morning).

Alles der Küste entlang erreichte ich um 18 Uhr Viña del Mar und checkte im Hotel Albamar (www.hotelalbamar.cl) ein. Nur einige Schritte davon entfernt ist das Restaurante Delicias del Mar, wo ich in einer super Ambiente (300 Fotos von Marilyn Monroe!) ein ausgezeichnetes Abendessen genoss und danach relativ früh und müde zu Bett ging…

Driving all along the coast I arrived at Viña del Mar at 6 pm and checked in the Hotel Albamar (www.hotelalbamar.cl). Only a few steps from there was the Restaurante Delicias del Mar, where I had a superb dinner in a very nice setting (300 pictures of Marilyn Monroe!), thereafter I went to bed relatively early and very tired…
