Letzte Nacht habe ich richtig gut geschlafen und bin heute erst um 11 Uhr erwacht! Ich denke, ich brauchte den Schlaf wieder einmal? Ich setzte mich in die Küche und arbeitete an meinem Blog während ich frühstückte. Danach bearbeitete ich meine vielen neuen Fotos und informierte mich über Möglichkeiten für meiner Weiterreise. Dazu gab mir Sabine aus München, die um 14 Uhr hier im Hostal del Centro eintraf, den richtigen Tipp, denn sie erzählte mir, dass sie sich eine 5-tägige Kreuzfahrt mit der Cruceros Australis nach Ushuaia geleistet hat… das klang nach der perfekten Lösung in meinen Ohren!
Um 16 Uhr machte ich mich auf zu den Buses Fernández, nur einen Block weiter, um mich für die Busfahrt nach Puerto Natales für morgen zu informieren. Da sie gerade noch eine Offerte inklusive Hotel hatten, kaufte ich ein Arrangement für 3 Nächte und werde morgen um 14:30 Uhr die 3-stündige Busfahrt nach Puerto Natales antreten! Danach ging es zum Büro der Cruceros Australis, wo mir einen Last-Minute Platz auf dem Kreuzfahrtschiff MV Via Australis angeboten wurde – ich schnappte zu und werde so folglich am Dienstag, 13. Dezember, meine 5-tägige Reise via Kap Horn nach Ushuaia, Argentinien, antreten! Yeahhh!!!!! Ich feierte meine Errungenschaften mit einem guten Espresso und lief freudig zum Hostal zurück um Sabine, Sonia und José über meine Pläne zu unterrichten.
I had a real good sleep last night and woke up only at 11 am this morning! I guess I needed this rest? I accommodated myself in the kitchen writing for my blog whilst having breakfast. Thereafter I revised all my new pictures and informed myself about possibilities for the continuation of my trip. Sabine from Munich who arrived at the Hostal del Centro around 2 pm gave me the perfect hint when she told me that she had afforded herself a 5-days cruise to Ushuaia with Cruceros Australis… this sang in my ears!
At 4 pm I walked one block down to Buses Fernández to get information about a bus drive to Puerto Natales tomorrow. They had an offer including hotel, so I decided to buy an arrangement for 3 nights leaving to Puerto Natales tomorrow at 2:30 pm by bus and arriving there 3 hours later! Thereafter I headed to the office of Cruceros Australis where I got offered a last-minute cabin on the MV Via Australis – of course I accepted and subsequently will start a 5-day cruise via Cape Horn to Ushuaia, Argentina, next Tuesday, December 13th! Yeahhh!!!!! I celebrated my achievements with a nice espresso and walked back joyfully to the hostal to pass my good news to Sabine, Sonia and José.

Um 18:30 Uhr bestiegen Sabine und ich den Bus zur Zona Franca, den duty-free Geschäften in Punta Arenas, um uns mit Parfüms und einem neuen Rucksack einzudecken. Zurück ging es auch mit dem Bus, wir luden unsere Einkäufe im Hostal ab, schnappten unsere Fotokameras und liefen zur Cerro de la Cruz, von wo man eine schöne Aussicht auf die Stadt hat. Langsam plagte und ein Hüngerchen und wir fanden im Restaurante Puerto Viejo das richtige Rezept dagegen: Einen Pisco Sour, einen Centolla (Seespinne) mit Spinat und eine Flasche Sauvignon Blanc!

At 6:30 pm Sabine and I went by bus to Zona Franca, the duty-free shops of Punta Arenas, to stock up with perfumes and a new backpack. Back we went by bus as well, dropped off your purchases, took our cameras and walked to the Cerro de la Cruz from where we enjoyed a nice view of the town. Gradually we were tormented by hunger and found the appropriate recipe against it at the Restaurante Puerto Viejo: a pisco sour, a centolla (spider crab) with spinach and a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc!
