Um 8 Uhr nach einer gut ausgeruhten Nacht sassen wir beim Frühstück und ich kopierte meine Fotos auf Marilins Mermorystick. 2 Stunden später fuhren wir mit dem Bus in den Parque La Jungla, wo aus verschieden hohen Türmen ( 3 – 12 m) schaukeln konnte – ich versuchte es überall! Zum Schluss gab es ein kühlendes Bad in einem der vielen Pozos (natürliche Pools).

Das Mittagessen nahmen wir wieder im  Restaurant Jazmin ein, ich hatte gegrillten frischen Fisch! Danach hatten die Studenten 2 Stunden Zeit im Pool zu verbringen und Marilin und ich machten uns auf zur Busstation, wo uns eine böse Überraschung erwartete: Wegen Blockaden zwischen Cochabamba und Villa Tunari hatte es keine Busse nach Santa Cruz… mir blieb nichts anders übrig als die 5-stündige und 320 km Fahrt mit dem Taxi zu machen und statt BS 65 zehnmal mehr USD 100 zu bezahlen! Gaston war ein sehr angenehmer und Chauffeur und brachte mich um 21:30 Uhr sicher vor die Tür des Hotels Alaska in Santa Cruz.

Es war sehr heiss (sicher 35 Grad!), ich setzte meine Klimaanlage auf Hochtour und lief die 4 Blocks zum Zentrum. In Santa Cruz findet das Leben zwischen 10 und 2 Uhr statt… ich setzte mich ins Café Alexander, bestellte mir einen Caipirinha und beobachtete die vielen Leute auf den Strassen…

At 8 am after a well rested night we had breakfast and I copied my pictures onto Marilin’s memory stick. 2 hours later the bus drove us to the Parque La Jungla where we could skip from different towers (3 – 18 m) – I tried it on each one! At the end we had a swim in one of the pozos (natural pools).

Lunch we had again in the Restaurant Jazmin, I had a grilled fresh fish. Thereafter the students had 2 hours time to spend in the pool and Marilin and I went to the bus station where we encountered a bad surprise: Due to blockades between Cochabamba and Villa Tunari there were no busses to Santa Cruz… I had no other choice but to do the 5-hours and 320 km drive by taxi and pay instead of BS 65 ten times more USD 100! Gaston was a very nice driver and brought me safely in front of the door of the Hotels Alaska in Santa Cruz at 9:30 pm.

I was very hot (at least 35 degrees centigrade!), I put the air-condition on high speed and walked the 4 block to the centre. In Santa Cruz life takes place between 6 pm and 2 am… I sat down in the Café Alexander, ordered a Caipirinha and watched all the people in the streets…
