Diese Woche hatte ich zusammen mit Douglas aus Brasilien Schule bei Carla. In der 10 Uhr Pause gehe ich immer zum Italiener, wo Rilver mir einen super doppelten Espresso zubereitet! Da Douglas am Freitag Morgen zurück nach Brasilien reiste und ich meinen Ausflug in den Südwesten Boliviens plante, holten wir 2 Stunden am Montag Nachmittag vor: Wir besuchten mit Carla den Mercado Campesino, wo man einfach alles findet! Die andern zwei Stunden verbrachten wir ebenfalls auf einer Stadttour, am Mittwoch Mittag: Carla demonstrierte uns die Tauschdrehtür des Convento Santa Clara, erzählte uns Legenden über den Convento und die Callejon de Santa Teresa und führte uns zum Abschluss auf die Terrasse des SAS Restaurants, wo wir herrlichen Tumbosaft genossen.

Am Montag hatten die Casecos Besuch aus Cochabamba und wieder bereitete Mamí ein Festessen zu. Lidia, Jorge und Ramon hatten vor den Mittwoch Abend im Restaurant Origenes, wo bolivianische Tänze aufgeführt werden, zu verbringen. Da Nancy alles organisierte, bestellte ich gleich noch 5 Plätze dazu für Jassel, Antonio, Mamí, Nancy und mich. Am Nachmittag hatte ich Waschtag – alles war am Abend trocken! Am Abend hatte ich einen Zahnarzttermin bei Antonio: Er bohrte meinen kranken Zahn auf und füllte ihn mit Medizin getränkter Watte – es tat überhaupt nicht weh!

This week I attended classes of Carla together with Douglas from Brazil. In the 10 o’clock break I always go to the Italian where Rilver prepares a wonderful double espresso for me! Due to Douglas’ departure back to Brazil next Friday morning and my travel plans to the southwest of Bolivia we made good for 2 lessons Monday afternoon: We visited the Mercado Campesino with Carla where you can find about everything! The other 2 lessons we spent on another tour through town on Wednesday noon: Carla demonstrated the exchange-revolving-door of the Convento Santa Clara, told us legends of the Convento and the Callejon de Santa Teresa and as a treat we had a delicious tumbo juice on the terrace of the SAS restaurant.

Monday the Canseco family had guests from Cochabamba and Mamí once more prepared a feast meal. Lidia, Jorge and Ramon intended to go to the Origenes restaurant where they perform Bolivian dances. Nancy organized everything and I ordered another 5 seats for Jassel, Antonio, Mamí, Nancy and me. In the afternoon I did my laundry and all my clothes were dry in the evening! In the evening I had an appointment with the dentist Antonio: He drilled out my sick tooth and filled it with a medicine soaked cotton – it didn’t hurt at all!

Marilin, Aventurarse

Am Dienstag Abend ging ich bei Nancy im Reisebüro vorbei um meinen Ausflug nach Potosi und Uyuni im Südwesten Boliviens zu buchen. Fernando von der Agentur in Cochabamba war dort und lieferte mir viele Infos und Vorschläge für meinen Ausflug nach Cochabamba später diesen Monat! Zudem lernte ich dort auch Marilin von Aventurarse (www.aveturarse.com) kennen, die den Ausflug in die Cordillera de los Frailes letztes Wochenende ausführte und auch die Reise für dieses Wochenende! Eine richtige Power-Frau – wir verstanden uns auf Anhieb, so dass sie, Nancy und ich danach zusammen ins Joy Ride gingen, und meine Fotos vom letzten Wochenende bei einer Flasche Weisswein anzuschauen!

Am Mittwoch hatten wir Gäste aus Dänemark zu Besuch, die vor 2 Jahren hier wohnten und zur Schule gingen. Wieder gab es ein Festessen! Am Abend waren wir im Restaurant Origenes (http://www.origenesbolivianos.com), wo wir ein super Essen genossen und Zeugen einer spektakulären Show waren! Danach sassen wir alle noch in Mamís Küche bei einem (?) Glas Wein…

Am Donnerstag Mittag war ich zum Essen bei Nancy und Vico eingeladen – wieder ein Festessen mit Lamafleisch! Danach folgte eine weiterer Zahnarztbesuch bei Antonio, der den Rest der Karies entfernte und mir Watte mitgab, die ich während jedem Essen in den Hohlraum zu stopfen habe. Am Abend genoss ich eine Massage in der Nähe von Nancys Büro und holte sie anschliessend ab um mit ihr im Joy Ride einen Schlummertrunk einzunehmen. Dort trafen wir Thijs aus Delft, der an derselben Schule Spanisch studiert und sich zu uns gesellte…

Natürlich ging ich wieder drei Mal joggen diese Woche, wieder vor dem Mittagessen und in der Hitze des Mittags…

Tuesday evening I visited Nancy at the travel agency to book my excursion to Potosi and Uyuni in the southwest of Bolivia. Fernando of the agency in Cochabamba was there too and supplied me with lots of information and suggestions for my trip to Cochabamba later on this month! What’s more is that I got to know Marilin of Aventurarse (www.aveturarse.com) who was responsible for my trekking tour in the Cordillera de los Frailes last week and also for the trip of this weekend! She’s a real power lady – we were on same wave length from the first moment, so that she, Nancy and I went to the Joy Ride afterwards to watch my pictures of last weekend with a bottle of white wine!

Wednesday we had guests from Denmark who lived and went to school here 2 years ago. Once more we had a feast meal! In the evening we went to the Origines (http://www.origenesbolivianos.com) restaurant, where we had a delicious meal and enjoyed a superb dancing show! Thereafter all of us sat in Mamí’s kitchen with a (?) glass of wine…

Thursday Nancy and Vico invited me for lunch – another yummy meal with meat of lamas was served! Thereafter I had another appointment with Antonio the dentist and he deleted the rest of caries and gave me cotton to fill my hollow tooth while eating something. In the evening I had a relaxing massage close to Nancy’s office and thereafter picked her up to have one for the road in the Joy Ride. There we met Thijs from Delft who studies at same school…

Of course I went for a run three times this week again, and again before lunch and in the heat of the day…

Vorbereitung zum grossen Fest / getting ready for the big festival

Das war wieder eine kurze Woche! Dieses Wochenende findet hier in Sucre das grösste Fest des Jahres statt: Fiesta de la Virgen de Guadalupe. Die ganze Stadt tanzt in speziell angefertigten Kostümen und betrinkt sich… gut dass ich morgen früh auf neue Entdeckungsreisen gehen werde!?

This was another short week! This weekend in Sucre is the biggest festival of the year: Fiesta de la Virgen de Guadalupe. The whole town performs dances in special costumes and gets drunk… I guess it’s a good idea that I will head for a new journey to discover new territories tomorrow morning!?
