Nachdem ich einige Runden geschwommen hatte, machte ich es mir auf einem Liegestuhl bequem und erkundigte mich im Internet nach dem Golfplatz Chocolatal (http://www.chocolatalgolf.com) im Jungel. Juan Antonio brachte mir unterdessen eine Kokosnuss mit einem Schuss Whisky – da perfekte Verdauerchen! Da ich vom Golfplatz sowie von Thomas von Lipiko Tours noch keine Antwort erhalten hatte, hatte ich keine Eile und fotografierte mit Juan Antonio das Hotel aus verschiedenen Blickwinkeln für seine neue Website.
After swimming some rounds I accommodated on my deckchair and investigated about the golf course Chocolatal (http://www.chocolatalgolf.com) in the jungle. In the meantime Juan Carlos brought me a coconut with a shot of whisky – the perfect digestive! As I hadn’t got an answer yet neither from the golf course nor from Thomas of Lipiko Tours I wasn’t in a hurry and took pictures with Juan Antonio of the hotel in various perspectives for his new website.

Um 14 Uhr fuhr Thomas von Lipiko Tours vor dem Hotel zu um mich zum Golfplatz zu bringen. Ich machte mich in wenigen Minuten bereit und kam so doch noch und etwas unerwartet zum Vergnügen 9 Löcher zu spielen. Es war sehr heiss und noch schwieriger diesen Jungelplatz zu spielen: Die Fairways waren wie Roughs und die Greens wie Semiroughs! Aber ich hatte Spass mit meinen zwei Caddies Alejandro und Pasquale (einer trug den Golfsack und der andere suchte meine Bälle!) und konnte meine Golfschuhe das erste Mal hier in Südamerika benutzen… ; ) Auf der Website war ganz klar ersichtlich, dass der Golfplatz noch immer in Bau ist und es daher USD 11 kostet 9 Loch zu spielen inkl. Schlägermiete, aber Lipiko Tours verrechnete mir BS 250 (= USD 37 inkl. Hinfahrt 20 Minuten und 2 Fläschchen Wasser) – manchmal werde ich aus der Preispolitik nicht schlau!
Am Abend machte ich die Bekanntschaft mit zwei neuen Hotelgästen Andrea und Mike aus London, die auf einer Weltreise waren. Wir genossen gemeinsam ein herrliches Abendessen und viele interessante Gespräche. Danach setzte ich mich zu Juan Antonio ins Büro und begutachtete seine neue Website – er bat mich um meine Meinung und weitere Vorschläge…

At 2 pm Thomas drove up to the hotel to bring me to the golf course. I got ready only in minutes and so had unexpectedly the chance to play 9 holes today! It was very hot and even more difficult playing in the jungle: the fairways were roughs and the greens semi-roughs! But I had fun playing with my 2 caddies Alejandro and Pasaquale (one carried my bag the other looked for my balls!) and used my golf shoes for the first time here in South America… ; ) On the website it was clearly stated that the golf course was still under construction and costs USD 11 to play 9 holes incl. the rental of the clubs, but Lipiko Tours charged BS 250 (=USD 37 incl. the 20-minutes drive and 2 small bottles of water) – sometimes I don’t understand the politics of prices!
In the evening I got to know the two new hotel guests Andrea and Mike from London who were on a trip around the world. We enjoyed together a delicious dinner and lots of interesting conversations. Thereafter I went through the new website of the hotel in Juan Antonio’s office – he asked me for my opinion and suggestions…
